The Cookson Company offers three labeled FIRE DOOR PRODUCT SYSTEMS -one to fit any fire safety requirement of Fire Marshals, Code Officials, and building managers. The FIREFLY®, TEST-A-FIRE® and SURE FIRE™ PLUS Systems are engineered for reliable performance and extreme fire protection, and are designed to meet safety and cost concerns.

The FIREFLY System features a fail-safe, time-delayed releasing device to prevent mechanical drop during momentary power failure. The TEST-A-FIRE and SURE FIRE PLUS Systems allow the user to test a door without having to manually reset the release mechanism, thus encouraging testing and eliminating costly service calls for resetting.

Vista Shatterproof, self-extinguishing Lexan or 1/4" thick tempered glass panels for extra security.

Vista Air Extruded aluminum panels peforated by 1/4" X 1-1/4" slots in evenly spaced columns and staggered rows. Custom designed slots are available.

Classic Aluminum rods of 5/16" diameter on 3-1/2" centers. Alternating rods have 7/16" aluminum sleeves. Available in clear anodize finish only.

• Counter Doors with Sill & Trim

A single, completely unitized frame and curtain can be custom built for a counter opening, pass, or ticket window. Because the frame is easily mounted in the opening, only one trade is involved in the installation which offers convenience and considerable savings on installation costs. Also, the unit does not have to be installed at the time of framing and can be set in an opening after a wall finish has been applied. This prevents accidental scratching, denting or staining of the door while other work is in progress.

A Cookson unitized counter door provides a neat, compact package for any wall thickness from 2 1/2" to 16". Units are furnished with a Cookson type CD8-2 anodized counter door which is placed in a stainless steel frame and finished with No. 4 polish. The unitized counter door may be specified as fire-rated or non-fire-rated, and is available with galvanized steel or stainless steel curtain.
